Brother Glen W. Page passed from this life this past Lord’s day, August 30, 2015. His sojourn on this earth was 82 years. He lost his first wife, Florence, to cancer in July of 2001 after 47 years of marriage. He is survived by his second wife, Anita, two sons, Steve and Randy, a daughter, Toni, and two stepsons, John and Mark Day, and 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Brother Glen preached for over forty years at the church of Christ in Three Rivers, Michigan. I first met him about thirty-three years ago when I had been invited to hold a gospel meeting there. Over the years I had several meetings there. Glen was straight-forward and to the point in his preaching. He believed in book, chapter and verse preaching. In my files are a few copies of his notes he used in preaching. Amazingly, he put his neat hand printed notes on 3x5 note cards. The print was about the size of 10 font. I do not see how he read his notes!
People remember Glen for his friendliness. He seemed to never meet a stranger. He took an interest in others. He and Anita would always attend gospel meetings and lectureships in the area. Glen always arrived at the meeting house about 30 minutes before time to begin. We shall miss him.
